Glorious Morning Pitcher

©A.K.SIMON - Glorious Morning Pitcher - 6"x6" oil on linen $50

Morning Glories are such a beautiful color and shape. I remember when my mother would plant them on a trellis by our back door. So when I was painting these my thoughts were of her and how strong images of our past never die. Especially how the little vine spirals hang in the air reaching for someplace to grow.

This is just a little sideline still life that was set up at a workshop I was at a while ago. I started it there then finished it from a photograph, which I would rather not do. Oh well, some days there are just not enough hours!
